Can we talk about how AMAZING our staff is?
How amazing you ask? This amazing:
We provided 52 programs this academic year:
25 residence hall educational programs
13 social programs
14 guest speakers
We had 507 participants in those 52 programs:
185 in residence hall programs
106 in social programs
194 in guest speaker programs
We worked with 35 HAs- that’s 65% of the Residence Life staff!
From our residence hall program surveys we found that:
85% strongly agreed or agreed that the program was helpful
61% agreed that the program helped them feel more confident in engaging in bystander intervention
87% agreed that the program gave them at least 1 resource to go to for help
87% agreed that the program helped them feel more comfortable talking to others about the topic.
We also had the sassiest bulletin board and the absolute best posters on campus all year!
Our staff is the best!!

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month!!!
Thus far, my sorors and I have been working hard to spread the word, from our “Teal Tuesdays” (teal is the official color for the commemorative month), to sharing statistics and facts with the student body, to our whiteboard campaign. It was great to see my peers willingly join in and express themselves, as we worked to raise awareness about SAAM. :)
This is just a few of the MANY photos we have taken, posted, and shared…and from what I’ve been informed, our movement has been picked up by the Deltas and our sorors at Bethune-Cookman University, as well.
NPHCs are great allies!
